We are a family of two men and three furry companions who reside in San Bernardino, California. Gio, my husband, and I share an insatiable thirst for adventure, a love of delectable cuisine, and a passion for the excitement of live concerts. We are always seeking new experiences, whether discovering hidden gems in our neighborhood or venturing out to new horizons.
Since we tied the knot in December 2015, we have been fortunate to explore various destinations, including San Francisco, South Florida, Las Vegas, Hawaii, South Lake Tahoe, and the Four Corners States—twice, clockwise in 2015 and counterclockwise in 2024. We act on our passion for breaking away from our daily routine by embarking on spontaneous getaways, whether for a day or a weekend.
These cherished moments often lead to reminiscing about good times with phrases like “remember when.” In August 2021, I created this website to share our life’s journey through my camera lens, connect with fellow photography enthusiasts, and exchange ideas. My journey with photography has been a wild ride alongside these adventures. I started out back in my Air Force days, carrying around a cheap, cardboard Fuji disposable camera. You would click through a roll of 24 photos, drop it off for development, and cross your fingers hoping that one or two actually turned out. Fast-forward to the invention of phone cameras and modern digital gear, and suddenly we are taking hundreds of photos at a time—still hunting for that elusive one or two standout shots.
The real game-changer today is the freedom to practice. We aren't limited by the physical constraints of a roll of film or the draining cost of development anymore. I can go out and shoot thousands of frames, experimenting with lighting and angles without hesitation. My passion for the craft truly exploded after taking a college photography and Photoshop class, which opened my eyes to what was possible both behind the lens and in post-production.
I want to be completely upfront: I am not a professional. I am a dedicated hobbyist who simply loves the thrill of the chase. That is exactly why I created this website and the Reinventing Moments blog in August 2021. I wanted a dedicated space to share our life’s journey through my camera lens, connect with fellow hobbyists, and exchange ideas.
